"Apparently Logan had difficulty with my phone # on 07/06 about ordering the part for the AC. There were no problems with my phone, possibly called a wrong number since I do have an answering service. Would have been nice to have the office attempt to call me without me waiting around and me eventually calling for any information. Part to arrive on 07/08, but I had to call office on 07/09 to find out it was in and set up appt to have it installed. I think better communication especially when it is 90 plus outside and the AC is down. Not known if it is the responsibility of the tech or the office to watch for incoming parts to notify the customer. Otherwise both techs were great as all my experiences with Neal Harris in the past."

"Our air conditioner went out on the hottest day of the year thus far. The service technician came out and first said that the part needed to fix it would be $1300 and didnt know how long it would take to get in. Said it could be 2 weeks or a month. Then he started selling. Tried to convince us to replace the unit. A 3 ton unit. The total cost would Be over $18,000 to replace the unit...ONE UNIT but hey.....you can finance over the next 10 years and end up paying $32,000! Not only did we KNOW we were getting screwed, as soon as we declined the offer we promptly found a company that not only had the part, was at our house within an hour of your tech leaving, replaced the part, and charged us $384 and even pointed out that our unit has a few more good years on it. Not only will we not ever return to Neal Harris...we plan to tell anyone that will listen or read on social media about our experience. Your group should be embarrassed they even tried to screw a customer over like this."

"We called due to no a/c in the shop. They came by and ONLY changed the filter and said they would come back to clean the condensor. WHY COME BACK< WHY NOT DO IT THEN! This is why we called. Waited a week and called you guys again. Not happy, especially being the hottest part of the year. There was no reason to not do it the 1st visit! AND they didnt tell anyone that is what they decided to do until the 2nd call for the same issue."

"It took 7 technicians to finally resolve our issue. The first two identified the problem (broken txv valve), then a third returned to replace it. After two days, the A/C stopped working. A fourth came and said the A/C just needed to be recharged after valve replacment. After two days, A/C stopped working again. A fifth technician returned and said that there might be a leak in the unit and that we might have to replace the entire system. I requested a supervisor. When he arrived, he determined that one of the valves wasn't connected properly, leading to a leak. Finally, the seventh technician came to repair the valve. I was displeased with all but the last two technicians."

"Service Tech (Michael) was very good. However the Customer Service Rep did not tell me this was a contactless appointment. I was not pleased when the tech told me he could not come in to my house to service the indoor equipment. I feel like I didn't get what I paid for with the Service Contract I have. I understand that with the pandemic situation why you don't want techs to come in. But you should tell customers that, and you should refund at least half of what I paid since I didn't get all of the service I was promised. Or you should do the service call over again when things are back to normal, at no cost to me. Again, your reps should be telling people that the technician will not come in to the house to service equipment. Thanks for listening."

"He created a problem that didn't exist (and, in fact, my dad had fixed 2 weeks prior) without even asking, or talking to me about it first, before he acted. My dad had to come back over and fix what he had already fixed 2 weeks prior-AGAIN!! Infuriating. I didn't even need him to undo what my dad had fixed. I didn't even mention anything about it! All of the sudden he was just holding the drain hose in his hand, and then went out to his truck to get a part to replace it with. IT DIDN'T NEED TO BE REPLACED! After, he left was when I noticed it was leaking!!! In addition, he wasn't very personable, nor did I think he did a very good job on what he came to fix--which was rewrapping the pipe with insulation, near where it goes in to the furnace."

The technician ordered the wrong part for the blower on the install and we are still without AC and TBD when the part will be in. We have a big party today and family in town and none of them are going to be comfortable upstairs (all bedrooms upstairs). Chris was nice enough to bring 2 portable AC units, but thats not enough. My daughters room is miserably hot and I am embarrassed with our family in town. I would like to be refunded or given a credit for the inconvenience this has caused my family."

"My overall feeling was that I got a pretty aggressive sales pitch. Dispatcher started in with the Advantage program. Technician started by trying to sell me duct cleaning, before he even identified the problem. Was supposed to call when on the way, luckily my wife was home when he arrived and I was close by. Put a capacitor on the blower motor and got it working. He checked everything out. Suggested I should replace the blower motor which made sense, $650 to replace motor seems reasonable, but an additional $350 to clean the blower cage is stupid, it has to come out to change the blower motor. This sent up the first red flag. Then he said it needed an expansion valve. The estimate to replace the valve was $1736. Absolutely ridiculous. Called another company on Monday and got a bid to do this for $400. The damn thing doesn't even have to be soldered in, it has compression fittings. The total for all the recommended services was almost $4000. I can buy a new unit for that price. Ludicrous to write an estimate like this."

Next morning called again, same answer, and several hours later no call. Phone again, was told wed been removed from the board, and they could set up for yet the next day. I explained the earlier commitments and a supervisor jumped us up in the queue, and told us the name of the tech that would call. Again, hours later still no call. I called again, explained our emergency and earlier commitments. Was told a supervisor would call. Never happened. Next day while I was driving to Neil Harris office to learn what the heck was going on I finally got a call, telling me a tech would be here that day. He (Keeven) came and was great. Yo have serious service center issues!"

I was the only one present, I would have gladly put on a mask, easily kept 6+ feet away. I appreciate the check of the outside unit. However, the inside machinery is a part of the totality. There is a humidifier that is normally shut-off during this inspection. I wasn't told when I subscribed to the program that due to the virus I would only get part of the service. It is an odd time. Hopefully, in the Fall, a complete inspection will be done. It is a HEAT PUMP and both the inside and outside units must function throughout the winter."

About 18 months ago I purchased a system for $23,000, not because my system was failing, but because it was old (16 years). The original service call was to put in a whole house humidifier (currently working fine) and I let a sales guy talk us into a new system (easily the most impressive part of the Neal Harris experience so far). Last year was the first summer... and the AC unit failed to cool the house. After FIVE technician visits the coil was replaced (remember that number). System seemed to work for the rest of the summer. This spring I started up the system and it failed to start. Had a technician come out... he put coolant in and it again failed to cool the house. Second technician came out a week ago to put dye in the system. Third technician came by to check the dye... can't find the dye. Asked if we had a leak before buying the system and wanted me to pay $2100 to test the system!!! Remember, I paid $23000 for this lemon and he wanted me to pay another $2100 to test it for the leak Neal Harris is unable to find. I wish I was making this up. I told him that was completely unacceptable. He gave me the name of a manager, who I called. Fourth technician comes out to look for the leak. Can't find the leak (super nice guy though). Says that a sales manager will call me tomorrow (today, Friday 5/22). No call, so I called the office. They tell me that a FIFTH technician is scheduled for today to look for the leak. FIFTH technician looks for leak, can't find leak. Wants to put dye in system (again). I tell him, can you put the dye in today? Uh no... doesn't have dye with him and the store is closed. Will call me on Tuesday. This is incredible. I'm giving this rating a 2 because all the technicians have been very nice, although I found the attempt to charge me $2100 to look for a leak in the $23000 system sold to me so outrageous that I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Hopefully next week I have a working system before the weather gets hot. My experience with this particular technician was fine although I don't understand the breakdown of not bringing dye when it was known (from previous tech or two techs) that the dye couldn't be found in the system."
