"Just because the furnace is 24 years old doesn't mean that it can't be repaired. Technician recommended the replacement of major parts...then the RSC who just happened to be on the call at the same time said it was time to replace the entire system. No work was done. Had another company come in - they spent 10 minutes cleaning a part and the furnace has been running like new ever since! In addition, I have received 2 bids for the replacement of the equipment that are half what was quoted by Neal Harris."

"Technician didn't call 30 minutes before arriving, spent less than 30 minutes on service call, didn't appear to clean humidifier line or indicate if filter needed to be changed but instead attempted to sell me a new humidifier for $399 and another nearly $600 in other services. Argued that the lease program you are offering "wasn't really a lease." Told me I had to provide a voided check to renew my Plus Maintenance plan or "I wouldn't get any benefits" (I had never been told that before and always paid with a credit card). Overall, I question whether the technician did anything to service my furnace and was only here to try to sell upgrades and a new HVAC system. I do not want this technician to provide any future maintenance or service calls. And I am considering stopping payment on my voided check as I regret providing it as it smells like another scam. I will be looking for a new service provider at the end of my Plus Maintenance plan next year."

"Sure he was a trainee with supervisor. They talked about other jobs slowing him down while working on mine. Was going to leave without resetting the thermostat. Had to remind him. Was not sure how to reset until I told him how.. Kept trying to get me to purchase additional equipment. Would not take no for an answer.. Asked if I had a CO2 detector, told him yes and I didn't need one but insisted on looking at the one I have. This practice of trying to sell equipment has happened the last three time a technician has come."

"technician was nice and appropriate, but did not seem to know how our programable thermostat worked and did not check it to see if working correctly. When I asked him if he was going to check thermostat and make sure it was changing programs correctly, he said he was not familiar with it and usually did not do that.. We told him we had concerns because it was not following the programs that we had set and we had to change them ourselves as needed. Note that this is all equipment that we purchased from your company in January of 2016.. He then informed my husband that the humidifier ball valve needed to be replaced at a cost of $200. I just didn't think this should be necessary on a VERY COSTLY UNIT that was not even 4 yrs old,. I definitely felt it was an upsell and was not happy about it."

If you look at Aprilaires website they dont list the manual model as an option for purchase so would not have assumed I would have needed to ask to confirm that I would be getting an automatic model. Also the water hookup that was installed to the supply line has a leak that I will already have to fix. Humidifier is working nicely and already feels better in the house."

"I'm actually doing this survey to convey our annoyance not at an employee but at your system. First, I always get multiple calls even after I have an appointment set. Second, what's with all the upsale you make the service techs do. Used to be they'd come out a do a thorough check and cleaning of your furnace and AC as a routine part of the check up. Now, everything seems to be an add on item. And there's always a comment about how old your furnace is even though you guys installed it and have been out twice a year ever since. The one you installed replaced a 25-year-old clunker that finally shot craps. 10 years seems like we're just getting the tires broken in. It feels like we're being sold muffler bearings."

"1) Tech did nit have the correct humidifier pad with him-he had to go get one. You installed the humidifier in 10/18 - why didn't he have the right part with him? 2) Tech told us that we would have to pay to replace the humidifier solenoid - he did not know the the entire system was installed by your company less than one year ago - still under warranty. 3) I called your office and verified that the part should be under warranty. The individual on the phone then said "the technician should know this" Obviously he did not.She then asked in a dismissive tone "what do you want me to about it? go talk to the technician" 4) Tech overheated the system, when trying to check for CO, and it shut down.He did know why the system shutdown it took phone calls and at least 30 more minutes to get the system cool enough to restart. 5) While running the furnace the temp on the first floor hit 85 degrees (it was in the 90s outside). The tech was in the basement putting his tools away and cleaning up while the heat continued to blow into the house. He only stopped his tidying up and went upstairs to turn off the heat and turn on the AC when my wife went to the basement and told him to "turn the AC on!" 6) it took several hours and I am sure many $$ to lower the temperature in the house to the normal 72 degrees."

"This was a follow up to bring filters. My responses to this survey were from last week when a technician came out to change the filter. I was not here at home when the technician came out to change filter. My wife was, but my wife is also in a wheelchair so getting to the area where the unit is , is difficult for her so I dont believe she was able to see what was happening. I arrived home to find the floor covered in drywall and 3 screws laying on the ground where I could have stepped on them as the unit is located in the hallway going into the bathroom. My cats couldve also gotten ahold of them and possibly swallowed them. I also noticed that he had scraped the wall paper on the wall and some how bumped into the corner wall and broke the trim piece. Also when the unit was installed, there was a square piece of drywall that had 4 screw locations, 2 at the top, 2 at the bottom. The trim piece covered about an inch of the top of the unit, sort of a facade cover. The didnt replace the cover correctly. He put the drywall piece at the top above the unit and then drilled one screw into the trim at the ceiling line. The piece that used to sit flush with the wall, now sits on top of the unit and angled out about an inch or so. For all of this, i feel I am being very generous with the 3 rating. Overall, I am still pleased with Neil Harris but the technicians need to be a little more focused and professional on simple service "replace the filter" calls. This was the very 1st time they had been out since installing the unit so I didnt expect to have problems the very first time out. I hope it improves."
