"I honestly do not know what they did to "service" my unit. It felt more like an inspection, sharing what all was wrong with my unit. My past experience in my old home, they would at least replace the filter but I only saw them clean the dust from the outer panel. They did take a lot of measurements and pictures that they shared with me, but it felt like an inspection visit and not a service visit. I will say the guys were super nice."

Secondly, after the installation was complete, there was a need to replace the wiring from the breaker box to the outside breaker for the outside unit. If the technicians are trained to specific standards, how did the install the wrong wire in the first place?"

I don't mind people trying to make a a reasonable profit but this was totally out of sight, I am not sure I will be renewing my service contract this year if this is the way they want to to business"

"This tech. completed a simple task that was supposed to be done by the original installation team. I'm finding that my first recommendation for the installation crew has proved to be wrong, as this is at least the 5th time, someone else has had to come out and correct a problem, that should have been taken care of in the initial install! 2 different techs were sent to set up the thermostats correctly, after 3 different code violations, a technician was sent out to correct the violations, I had to call the City of Olathe, to get them rechecked, and then this last yech had to hook up my doorbell, that the original crew should have done!"

"Well. our service call required 2 visits. It was basically just to supply us with filters for our unit. We were told of an appointment day and a service agent called to say he was on his way. We waited in the living room (where we normally wait in the back end of the house) for several hours and he never showed up. My wife (who is in a wheelchair) happened to open the front door and noticed 2 filters sitting on the porch chair. Had one of us not looked, we probably would still be sitting in the livingroom waiting on the technician. For that we gave a rating of a 2. We then called the office because we had originally asked that they bring us several filters so we could change it ourselves next time. (By the way, we arent really sure how often we should change the filters, we just check it and when they are dirty, change them). but they didnt bring extras so the second trip was to bring us some extras. This time the service technician was polite, rang the door bell, showed us the filters were there but did not request to come in, which is ok given the pandemic. We gave him a 10. So it averages out to a 6."

However, my air conditioner is only one and a half years old....and the capacitor failed. It turns out this was the only part of my new 16,000,00 dollar ac not covered by warranty....easy to see why....you installed a cheap Chinese made capacitor on my very expensive air conditioner.....Daniel replaced it with one far superior which was made in the USA and cost me $365.00. So I looked these up on the web and learned the Chinese one is sold wholesale to YOU for $50.00 while the USA made capacitor is $150.00 wholesale to YOU. I am extremely angry and upset about your lack of integrity for installing a lousy Chinese part on my expensive new air conditioner!!!!! Why would you not have installed a capacitor made in the USA which should last far far longer than the crappy lousy Chinese product. I am really sore and mad about this Mr. Neal Harris! I would even like to be compensated for your lack of professional honesty for installing such a cheap Chinese product in my Cadillac level air conditioner which only lasted 18 months. My previous air conditioner lasted from 2000 until about summer of 2017 when I replaced the capacitor in it: GEE WHIZ FOLKS THAT WAS 17 WHOLE YEARS WITH NO PROBLEM. So I upgrade to your fancy 2 phase Amana top-line unit and the d..n thing failed in only 18 stinking months. Will someone please call me and explain how this could possibly have happened on a top flight air conditioner? I am retired and live on a fixed income.and would very much appreciate receiving your remuneration of $365.00 to me, otherwise I will have no recourse but to notify the BBB and the Chamber of Commerce and put this out on the internet as well. So let me know your decision on this soon. Thank you. Steve Streufert."

"The first two guys came in, said we had a coolant leak but brought no equipment to test where the leak was but said it would cost $1,300.00 to fix. So, they sent out another technician with the device to test for leaks, he said it would cost $850.00 We called another company and it cost us $250.00 to get it fixed. The only problem was the air conditioner was dirty and needed cleaning which the technician that came in April should have done. Please cancel our service agreement and refund our money. We will never use Neal Harris Service again. Neal Harris used to be a company we could trust. We have done business with you for probably over 20 years."

I think better communication especially when it is 90 plus outside and the AC is down. Not known if it is the responsibility of the tech or the office to watch for incoming parts to notify the customer. The service technician came out and first said that the part needed to fix it would be $1300 and didnt know how long it would take to get in. Said it could be 2 weeks or a month. Then he started selling. Tried to convince us to replace the unit. A 3 ton unit. The total cost would Be over $18,000 to replace the unit...ONE UNIT but hey.....you can finance over the next 10 years and end up paying $32,000! Not only did we KNOW we were getting screwed, as soon as we declined the offer we promptly found a company that not only had the part, was at our house within an hour of your tech leaving, replaced the part, and charged us $384 and even pointed out that our unit has a few more good years on it. Not only will we not ever return to Neal Harris...we plan to tell anyone that will listen or read on social media about our experience. Your group should be embarrassed they even tried to screw a customer over like this."

"It took 7 technicians to finally resolve our issue. The first two identified the problem (broken txv valve), then a third returned to replace it. After two days, the A/C stopped working. A fourth came and said the A/C just needed to be recharged after valve replacment. After two days, A/C stopped working again. A fifth technician returned and said that there might be a leak in the unit and that we might have to replace the entire system. I requested a supervisor. When he arrived, he determined that one of the valves wasn't connected properly, leading to a leak. Finally, the seventh technician came to repair the valve. I was displeased with all but the last two technicians."
